Ennerdale Road

7 three storey 4 bedroom houses on a shallow plot adjacent to Formby train station.

LPC Living, purchased a former petrol filling station site in Formby.  The site was long and shallow.  To accommodate seven 4 bedroom houses on such a tight site the house footprints needed to be minimised.  The solution was to arrange the 4 bedrooms and the living accommodation over three floors.

The muted palette of buff brick, white render and cedar cladding is utilised to emphasise the horizontal lines on the elevation fronting Formby Bridge.  To Ennerdale Road the same materials add vertical emphasis defining each of the seven units to more closely reflect the scale of the existing houses across the road.
